Witness: Kerry Flies US Flag Upside Down

Retired police chief of Lexington, Mass, Jim Corr, told journalist Leonard Saffir that after Kerry's arrest in 1971, upon his release after spending a night in lock up, he threatened to put Kerry back in jail because he was flying the United States flag upside down.

"Kerry was holding the American flag upside down."

"I told him to put the flag the way it’s supposed to be or you’ll be locked up again."
